Karmatand Foundation
Karmatand Foundation serves as the sponsoring trust behind K.N. Bakshi College of Education (KNBCE), a premier teacher-training institute located in rural Jharkhand. With a strong commitment to inclusive, affordable, and quality education, the Foundation aims to empower aspiring educators from all walks of life—especially students from economically weaker sections.
Established to bridge the gap in access to professional education, KNBCE offers two NCTE-approved flagship programs:
📘 Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) – A 2-year course preparing students to teach Classes VI–X. Affiliated with Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag.
📗 Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) – A 2-year course for teaching Classes I–VIII. Affiliated with Jharkhand Academic Council, Ranchi.
The campus in Karmatand is equipped with modern infrastructure—science and psychology labs, IT facilities, an e-library, and a multipurpose hall—creating a perfect blend of traditional learning and modern pedagogy. Guided by experienced faculty, KNBCE provides a “Gurukul-like” environment that nurtures academic excellence and holistic development.
Beyond teacher education, the Foundation runs a PMKVY (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana) Centre on the same campus, offering short-term skill development courses aligned with regional job markets, expanding its impact on community livelihood and employability.
KNBCE also emphasizes social responsibility through regular seminars, webinars, and NSS-led outreach programs such as health drives and inclusive education workshops, shaping students into socially aware educators and change-makers.
